The Greater Illinois Chapter invites care partners to attend a special five-week series, Meeting the Challenges of MS: Providing Support through Problem Solving. This workshop series begins Saturday, March 10, and meets weekly on Saturday mornings through April 14.* The series will be led by a trained professional, and we ask that you attend all five workshops in the series. (Registration is not available for individual workshops.) This program, developed by Marcia Finlayson, Ph.D., OT, OTR/L, is geared to help care partners--family and friends just like you--feel more confident in their abilities to provide support and assistance to persons with MS, prepare for and manage expected and unexpected challenges, and take care of their own health and well-being so that they can continue to provide support to their loved one with MS. PLEASE NOTE: This program is for care-givers only. It is not intended as a program for individuals currently living with MS. Click the blue box at the
bottom of this page to register for free (or call 1.800.344.4867 to register by phone). See the box below to review detailed information to help you decide if this program is right for you. If you have specific questions, you can also contact Client Services Manager Susan Mosher at 1.312.423.1127 or susan.mosher@nmss.org. If you cannot be with us for this workshop series, we invite you to browse our Partners on the Journey resource page for additional resources geared for MS care partners.
(*Note: Workshop will not meet on Saturday, April 7.) |
