BE INSPIRED. GET CONNECTED. WALK MS.

ILD MeghanMWalk MS is almost here! On Sunday, May 5 friends & family, walkers & volunteers will come together at 11 different Walk sites in Illinois all on a mission to create a world free of MS.

Something new this year is our Walk Champions who are the public face of the Walk MS 2013 campaign. These are all individuals who are affected by MS in different ways and are having a major impact in their communities through their fundraising, awareness and activism.

RESEARCH STUDIES

Research is being conducted in many areas of MS such as physical rehabilitation, cognition and emotional health. To participate in local institutional recruitment for IRB approved studies, go to our new Research Studies page.

TELECONFERENCE ON MAY 13

It's Not Just in Your Head - Learn the prevalence of common MS symptoms of anxiety, depression and mood swings. Understand the physiological and psychosocial causes of these symptoms and explore strategies for facing these symptoms.


PROGRAM: DO YOU NEED TO SEE A NEUROLOGIST?

The Greater Illinois Chapter and the North Shore MS Comprehensive Care Center have combined their outreach efforts to provide a community event on May 16 at Highland Park Hospital. The focus will be on MS care and other related topics. Dr. Zulma Hernandez a bilingual Spanish speaking MS specialist will be one of several experts presenting. We hope that you can join us!

KANE COUNTY COUGARS BASEBALL GAME

ILD CougarsJoin us on Saturday, June 1, for our popular, annual Northern Illinois MS Family baseball outing to watch the Kane Couty Cougars, the Cubs Class A affiliate, in action at Elfstrom Stadium in Geneva. Space is limited.

MS WELLNESS SUMMIT

Save the date for the next MS Wellness Summit on June 8 in Quad Cities from 9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. Registration will open May 15.
