Bike MS: Tour de Farms Rolls Through DeKalb in June

Bike MS: Tour de Farms 2012 takes place on Saturday and Sunday, June 23 & 24. That's just around the corner! More than 2,100 participants have already registered for the largest charity cycling event in Illinois--but we've still got room for you.

Bike MS: Tour de Farms is a fully supported two-day ride with route options ranging from 15-200 miles. We'll tour through the rolling farmland of northern Illinois--and for the first time, we'll ride through downtown DeKalb, too. Following Saturday’s ride, enjoy food, Goose Island 312, and the music of premier Chicago cover band Mike and Joe! Shuttle service between Chicago & DeKalb also available.

Walk MS: Spring Success, Heading to Peoria & Urbana in September

Thank you to all of the walkers, donors, advocates and volunteers who helped to make our spring Walk MS a success. More than 12,000 of you participated on May 6, making ours once again one of the largest Walk MS events in the country.

Peoria & Urbana residents, your chance to walk is coming up on Sunday, September 9. Use the link below to register now, then start forming teams and fundraising. With your support, we’ll reach our 2012 goal of raising $2.7 million to benefit the more than 20,000 people affected by MS in Illinois.

Donna F. Zarcone, President and CEO of the Economic Club of Chicago, will be honored at this year’s Women on the Move Luncheon, to be held at The Ritz-Carlton Chicago on Friday, August 3. The Luncheon brings exceptional women together in a social environment and provides an opportunity for them to network and learn while raising funds to help create a world free of MS.

Next "Meeting the Challenges of MS" Workshop Series for Care Partners Begins May 30 in Algonquin

Register now for the next round of our special, five-week workshop series for care partners. Learn to feel more confident in your abilities to provide support and assistance to persons with MS, while taking care of your own health and well-being. The series begins Wednesday, May 30, in Algonquin and meets weekly on Wednesday evenings through June 27.

Women on the Move The fourth annual Women on the Move lunche MS Wellness Summit in Orland Park on Saturday, on Saturday, June 30

The Chapter will hold a free, half-day wellness summit in Orland Park on Saturday, June 30. Experts including Rob Motl, PhD, University of Illinois, Kim McClintic, MS, RD, OSF Healthcare, Erin Kennedy, MS, PT, OSF Healthcare, and Atsuko Cummins, Tai Chi Instructor, Taoist Tai Chi Society, will help people living with MS and their families develop more confidence in their abilities to understand and learn about wellness with MS.
