Tip: How to Know You're Logged In
Did you know that every National MS Society event website will tell you if you're logged in correctly? At the top of every page of our event websites (or in the upper-right corner for Walk MS), the name of the person currently logged in is dsplayed. If you login from a computer used by other MS Society event participants, make sure it's your name at the top of the page. If not, log out and log back in with your own user name and password.

Walk MS Success! Thank you for an amazingly successful Walk MS 2011! More
than 12,000 walkers at 11 Walk MS Illinois sites helped us raise over
$1.4 million on May 1, and almost $1.9 million so far! Keep up the good work--remember, you can

Safe-Patient Handling Bill Unanimously Approved by Legislators SB1577/HB1684--the Safe-Patient Handlng Bill--has successfully passed both the Illinois House and Senate by a unanimous vote. Please thank your Senator and Representative for their support! In July, we will ask Governor Pat
Quinn to sign the bill into law so that over 20,000 people living
with MS and thousands more with mobility disabilities will be ensured
safe practices of being moved or lifted while in a hospital.

Twelve Aquatics & Wellness Instructors Certified in Princeton On May 15, twelve aquatics and wellness instructors completed the
NMSS-certified Aquatics Exercise Training Program for People at the Bureau County Medical Center in Princeton. MS
Certified Instructor Diana Duda, from the Palos Fitness Center in Orland Park, led the group through the training. Persons living with MS interested in taking aquatics classes may qualify for scholarships through the
chapter’s financial assistance program.

St. Louis Cardinals on May 11 at Wrigley Field. The Chapter wishes to thank the Cubs for donating the
tickets and helping give our hardworking volunteers an evening of fun and cheer!
