The program is for care partners - those who love and support someone living with MS.
The program consists of 5 sessions. Each session is 2 hours in length and is led by a professional O.T.
Through the program, participants learn skills and strategies to meet the challenges of MS; homework is assigned each week.
The goals of the program are:
- Help family and friends feel more confident in their
abilities to provide support and assistance to a person with MS,
- Help family and friends prepare for and manage the
challenges associated with supporting and assisting a person with MS; and
- Help family and friends monitor and manage their own
health and well-being so that they can continue to provide support and
assistance to a person with MS.
