MS FAMILY DAY AT CAMP BIG SKY

DONATION AND FUNDRAISING CLUBS DEADLINE

The deadline to submit donations for this year’s Walk MS and Bike MS is approaching quickly! Please make sure to submit all outstanding donations by September 30

It’s not too late to qualify for a Walk MS or Bike MS Fundraising Club for 2014! All confirmed donations submitted by Sunday, September 30 are counted towards eligibility.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS OPENING OCTOBER 1

Multiple sclerosis should never stand in the way of an education and that's why the MS Scholarship Program exists. The National MS Society established its scholarship program 10 years ago to support high school seniors who have been diagnosed with MS or who have a parent with MS. Applications can be found at nationalMSsociety.org/scholarship, and can be submitted from October 1, 2013 through January 15, 2014.

MEETING THE CHALLENGES

Meeting The ChallengesDo you care for someone living with MS? Participate in our free, five-part program specifically for care partners led by a professional Occupational Therapist.  The program, which strives to help family and friends support and assist a person with MS, takes place October 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital in Elk Grove Village. Attendance at all five sessions is encouraged. Register today!

Greater Illinios Chapter Research Symposium

Register now for our 18th Annual Fannie and Charles Penikoff Research Symposium, which will be held on Saturday, October 19. This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Steven Goldman, M.D., Ph.D, Distinguished Professor and Emeritus Chairman of the Department of Neuroscience and Neurology at University of Rochester Medical Center.

The Open House takes place on Tuesday, October 29 and registration will open on Monday, October 7.
