You Can Be an MS Activist
Join the Greater Illinois Chapter in our year-round advocacy efforts by becoming an MS Activist. You will receive regular email updates and occasional Advocacy Alerts asking you to contact your elected officials on specific issues. Midwest Indoor Tri-Classic Race Series Mini-triathlon series benefiting the National MS Society, includes 10-minute swim, 20-minute stationary bike ride, and 15-minute run on an indoor track. Fees range from $40 to $100. Dates & locations:

Meeting the Challenges of MS: A Workshop Series for Care Partners
The Greater Illinois Chapter invites care partners to attend a free five-week workshop series geared to help them feel more confident in their abilities to provide support and assistance to persons with MS, while taking care of their own health and well-being. The series begins Saturday, March 10 in Orland Park, and meets weekly on Saturday mornings through April 14. (Note: No meeting April 7.)

Come to MS Carnivale!
Tickets are now available to purchase for the 10th annual MS Carnivale in East Peoria on Friday, March 16, at the Par-a-Dice Casino. More than 600 guests are expected to bask in the revelry and savor the flair of a New Orleans celebration, which will include musicians, entertainers, a raffle, a silent auction, and French Quarter-style fare. Plus, this year parking is complimentary--with no voucher required!

Multiple Solutions Pub Crawl a Big Success
Thank you to the hundreds of people who participated in the Multiple Solutions Pub Crawl on Saturday, January 7, up and down Chicago's Southport Avenue! This year's event raised more than $6,800 to benefit the Greater Illinois Chapter and the 20,000 people affected by MS across Illinois whom we serve. An MS Support Group Empowered by Social Media
Empowered Living is a social media-based support group for individuals in their 20s and 30s living with MS. Facebook and email keeps members connected day-to-day, and regular meetings provide the opportunity to share experiences, ask questions, and discuss life with MS face-to-face. Many Ways to Get Online Updates from the Greater Illinois Chapter
Did you know that you don't have to wait for eConnection to learn about Chapter activites? We post regular updates about new and noteworthy programs, services, and events on our Facebook and Twitter accounts, as well as in our news feed.
We also post all new programs and events on the Chapter homepage. In addition, we post event photos to our Picasa account and Chapter videos to our YouTube account. (But don't worry, if print is what you prefer, we still offer our quarterly mailed newsletter, MS Connection.)
