Peoria & Urbana: Get Ready for Walk MS

This year, Walk MS Peoria has a new location: the famous Tower Park, at 1222 East Kingman Avenue in Peoria Heights (Google Map.) And Walk MS Urbana participants, get ready for your first autumn walk--in 2011, Walk MS Urbana moves to Sunday, September 11. It's the former "Cocktailin' for a Cause," but rebranded so everyone will know what the event is about--the movement to end MS!

Everyone Should Be an MS Activist!

We need your assistance to make sure Illinois and federal lawmakers know how important it is to consider the needs of people living with MS when making policy and funding decisions. Helping out is easy! Just login to your National MS Society account and update your email preferences to include Advocacy emails. From time to time, we'll email you "Action Alerts" about important legislation and ask you to email your legislators. All you have to do is hit "send." How easy is that!

 We're putting out the call for volunteers for MS Slugfest (on August 13) and Walk MS Peoria & Urbana (on September 11.) We need your help to organize and set-up these events and make them run smoothly. We'll find the volunteer spot that fits your skills!
