August 10 - Volunteers are key to making the MS Slugfest softball tournament a success. Help plan the event, cheer for players, run day-of-event activities, and so much more.

Bike MS:  Tour de FarmsBike MS: Tour de Farms is this weekend, June 22 & 23 in DeKalb, Illinois! We are so excited to see all the riders & volunteers to kick off another great year. Online registration closes on Friday, June 21, at noon. If you would still like to participate in Bike MS, you can register on-site at the NIU Convocation Center, starting at 5 a.m., on Saturday, June 22.

MS Family Stories featuring Allison Redfern, author of Porcelain Angel will be held July 27 from 4 to 6 p.m. The program will take place at the Frick Center Building (Alexander Room) on the campus of Elmhurst College, 190 S. Prospect Ave. Elmhurst, IL. The program is free and refreshments will be provided.

PARTNERS IN MS CARE

Partners in MS Care is a National MS Society program that recognizes and supports quality MS care by encouraging strong partnerships between MS clinicians and the Society.  The Society believes that people living with MS receive optimal care and support when these collaborative relationships exist. 

Tamara Lott, LCPC is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) at “One Counseling and Wellness” located in Washington, IL (outside Peoria). Tamara has an MA in Rehabilitation Counseling from NIU, and a BS in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of IL- Urbana.  In her 15 years of experience she has worked in several settings including community agency, hospital (both inpatient and outpatient) and private practice. During her 14 years in the hospital setting, she worked with medical patients such as multiple traumas, illness (new onset and chronic), multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and stroke.  Tamara is associated with the Center for Comprehensive MS Care at the Illinois Neurological Institute in Peoria and sees many of their patients.
