Live in Central Illinois? You're invited to attend Regional Research Symposium 2012, a free, half-day discussion of MS research news and trends, on Saturday, August 25, at Par-a-Dice Hotel in East Peoria. Expert participants will include Dennis Garwacki, MD, INI MS Center,Tamara Lott, LCPC, One Counseling and Wellness, John Pula, MD, Robert Motl, PhD, and Jacob Sosnoff, PhD. Complimentary buffet breakfast included.
Constituents in Western Illinois may also be interested in attending an Upper Midwest Chapter MS Research Symposium in Davenport, Iowa, on Thursday, September 20.

The Greater Illinois Chapter invites you and up to three guests to attend MS Family Day at Lincoln Museum on Saturday, September 15, in Springfield. MS Family Days are free, fun social outings that offer the chance to connect with others living with MS while enjoying visits to some of the most exciting tourist attractions in Illinois. Our day of fun includes complimentary museum admission and lunch.

An MS Family Day in the Great Outdoors
The Chapter and the Illinois Neurological Institute invite you and up to four guests to attend MS Family Day at Camp Big Sky on Saturday, September 29, in Fairview. Families will enjoy fishing, bingo, pontooning, a Tai Chi demonstration, shuffle board, prizes, and more. Complimentary lunch and beverages are included, and the camp is fully accessible.

Introducing MS Family Focus Events!
MS Family Focus Events are new, programmed learning events aimed at families with children. They include a speaker and focus on encouraging healthy parenting and family ties in the presence of MS.
You and up to four members of your immediate family are invited to attend our debut MS Family Focus Event at Klehm Arboretum on Sunday, September 30, in Rockford. Our day of learning will include parenting tips when living with a chronic illness for adults, an arts-and-crafts activity for children, a complimentary lunch, and time to explore the arboretum together as a family.
(Note: Guests are limited to family members with whom you share parenting responsibilities and children 7 years of age and older. All types of families are welcome!)

Care Partners, Still Room Left to Register for "Meeting the Challenges of MS" in East Peoria
There's still space left to register for the next round of our special, five-week workshop series for care partners. Learn to feel more confident in your abilities to provide support and assistance to persons with MS, while taking care of your own health and well-being. Cohn Weil Memorial MS Outing an Outstanding Success
Thank you to the more than 500 participants, volunteers, and committee members who made this year’s Carol Cohn & Margie Weil Memorial MS Outing on Monday, July 9, a glowing success, and helped raise more than $535,000 for a world free of MS. We would especially like to thank Event Chair Joe Weil, for his continuing dedication and support of the Society.
