More than 800 people came out for Walk MS in Peoria Sunday, September 12, raising more than $100,000 for MS research and programs. Thanks to all participants for stepping up! More details and photos to come. In the meantime, keep up your fundraising, and check out our newest community walk in Princeton, Ill., set for October 3. Another opportunity for you to don your orange sneakers before the summer's end!


Thank you Trustee Dan Hennessy for sponsoring MS Day at the Shedd Aquarium, which took place September 11. New chapter President John Blazek welcomed families and friends, enjoying a memorable day.

Save the Date: Cocktailin’ for the Cause Have a rockin’ good time for an even better cause! Save Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 for MS Cocktailin’ for the Cause at the Hard Rock Hotel. This semi-formal event, hosted by our junior board, Multiple Solutions, will feature live music and drinks from SKYY Spirits.

Nearly 100 youth from around the region met up for a fun-filled week in Annandale, Minn. for the Greater Illinois Chapter's third year at the James Cantalupo Growth and Empowerment camp for youth. Images, video and campers' comments were captured throughout the week and shared with family members and friends via Facebook.
Team Numb Nutz Tops MS Slugfest Championship On August 14, 2010, nearly 500 dedicated softball players enjoyed friendly competition at MS Slugfest 2010 in Mt. Greenwood Park on Chicago's South Side. This year’s tournament champion was newcomer team Numb Nutz. “We thought it would be great to support one of our players’ family in the fight against MS by doing what we love to do, playing softball,” said Team Captain Monique Abbate, who added that the tournament was very well organized.
